Description

Web Applications Developer responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of web services and web applications supported by those services.

Responsibilities
  • Create, modify, and test web and web service applications that allow web applications to run. These applications are primarily written in Java, but will also require coding in PHP, jQuery, HTML, and CSS
  • Develop secure RESTful web services for converting stored procedures and replace the legacy code [Java, Oracle, DB2, MySQL, Object Oriented PHP, Oracle, NetBeans, Tomcat]
  • Transaction processing programming with SQL databases.
  • Create, test and maintain web application and integrate with CMS [Object Oriented PHP, MySQL]
  • Develop reports and perform support activities [SAP Crystal]
  • Work from specifications drawn up by other software developers or other individuals as necessary
  • Assists other software developers by analyzing user needs and designing software.
  • Works collaboratively with a team of software developers by analyzing user needs and designing software solutions
  • May develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information
  • Supervise the work of 1-2 other software developers

Description

Java developer responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of both new and existing java-based applications, as well as web API integrations

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for development and testing related to Java-based applications and web API integrations
  • Develop clean code and maintain existing code for Humanitarian Software applications using Java, Rest-API, SOAP
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the application structure and flow of company applications
  • Oversee aspects of project life cycle, from initial kickoff through requirements analysis, design, and implementation phases for projects within solution area
  • Provide expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software design documentation
  • Work collaboratively with other software developers to test and create APIs.
  • Provide technical and user documentation for written code
  • Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to provision estimates and develop overall implementation solution plan
  • Participate in system configuration and testing events
  • Knowledge of web server infrastructure, such as Apache, Tomcat
  • Experience configuring and setup of web servers and SSL certificates

Responsibilities
  • Develop clean code and maintain existing code for Humanitarian Software cloud-based applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, Ajax and/or WordPress
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the application structure and flow for both front-end and back-end
  • Balance aesthetics and user experience while always considering the needs of the client and their intended audience throughout all web development projects
  • Participate in system configuration and testing events
  • Work with team members to resolve issues related to application front end
  • Creation and configuration of WordPress sites
  • Configuration and modification of WordPress themes and plugins
